Faith in the Halls of Learning
We are excited to partner with Chesterton House of Cornell University to bring the lecture "Faith in the Halls of Learning," by Karl Johnson, to Rochester.
Faith in the Halls of Learning is an illustrated, historical lecture that discusses how universities have dealt with religion since the founding of Harvard in 1636, and will touch upon the challenges and opportunities of being a Christian student at a secular university today.
Karl E. Johnson is the founding director of Chesterton House, a Center for Christian Studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and a founding board member of the Consortium of Christian Study Centers. Formerly a program director for Cornell Outdoor Education, he received his bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees from Cornell. Karl serves as an elder at New Life Presbyterian Church.
