October 24 — CompassCare

There is a great need for prayer to support the ministries of CompassCare, particularly through the PrayerNet team. This team sends out weekly updates that provide data on the number of women served by CompassCare in the Rochester, Buffalo and Albany offices, and by Telecare, which reaches women around the world. Here are the highlights from a typical update. Please note that there is also a request to pray for the nurses who work directly with the women in all of these settings.

They also include prayer requests that are specific to the situations of women who are visiting CompassCare, such as these from the October 17, 2023, PrayerNet update:

Please pray for CompassCare's patients this week. Please pray specifically for the women who are experiencing the following:

  • Negative experience with foster care—pray for healing and Christian mentors/caregivers.

  • Domestic violence—pray for protection, reconciliation, and transformation.

  • Abandonment by family—pray for provision and love.

  • Boyfriend wants an abortion—pray for a change of heart.

The Church through CompassCare shows women loving sacrifice, giving them the ethical medical care and comprehensive community support they need to get a vision of their life after having their baby. When a woman experiences that love, care, and sacrifice, it becomes easier for her to face the tensions in her life, protecting her baby.

CompassCare is a Christ-centered organization, committed to "Erasing the need for abortion by transforming a woman's fear into confidence.” You can follow them at CompassCare Community on Facebook.
